Thanks for all the wonderful discussion. Regarding recommendations, a hard rubber piece is more standard for a traditional sound. In which case the AMMA Alto HR will work great. For a more contemporary/jazzy sound, we would recommend our metal alto mouthpieces, the DURGA Alto Gold or KALI Alto Gold.

Hi Lu, thanks for the kind words and your support. I am happy to report the age ofTheo Wanne sopranos is getting closer. I am currently scheduling production time for the AMMA Soprano for January 2010. Don't hold me too it, because keeping such a date means a number of things need to fall into place. But, we have expanded our manufacturing capabilities, technology, and R&D. So, my fingers are crossed.

This is my first blog from Music China 2009 in Shanghai. Due to internet connection issues in China, I was not able to blog in real time. Interestingly, I could log onto my email server, but not connect with WordPress, Facebook, or Myspace. So, please note that the tradeshow took place last week...

i prefer hardened rubber mouthpieces, but thats just me. Metal mouthpieces are pretty good, but aren't for my tupe of jazz playing. Ive never seen wooden tenor/soprano sax mouthpieces, and Id like to try it. Same thing with crystal mouthpieces. Im interested in getting a new soprano mouthpiece, any recomendations?
