One of our problems from the start has been that when we try to describe This American Life in a sentence or two, it just sounds awful. For instance: each week we choose a theme and put together different kinds of stories on that theme. That doesn't sound like something we'd want to listen to on the radio, and it's our show.

The theater experience was really great, and quite funny, which was appreciated as I really needed some sincere laughing that week. Watching Ira Glass brought a nice new dimension to the radio show as well, you got a better feel for who is making the show. Thank You for putting up all the past shows on the site!

TAL Live was pretty awesome! Ira Glass is an actual real life person, who knew? :) There were technical difficulties at our theater with no sound for the first 15 minutes. But once it finally came on everyone enjoyed it. Had dragged a co-worker who had never heard of TAL before, I think we got her to drink the koolaid :)

I love This American Life. One of the main reasons I love my Ipod is that I can download the podcasts from the show so I never miss an episode. Thanks!!! ;)

Congrats to Alex B and Adam D on "The Giant Pool of Money". Fantastic journalism. And nice nod to Calculated Risk. That blog is essential reading for econ.
