City of Thornton, Colorado Thornton Fire Department’s annual Holiday Food Drive starts tomorrow 11/10! It runs until Friday, December 18. Drop off canned or non-perishable food items at any Thornton Fire station. Food will be donated to the Thornton Food Bank to help families in need this holiday season. City of Thornton, Colorado On 11/8/09 starting at 7 pm, single lane closures will be in place for northbound and southbound I-25 at 104th Ave. Starting at 9 p.m., a full closure of I-25 at 104th Ave. will be in place. The closures are necessary to facilitate work associated with the replacement of the 104th Avenue bridge over I-25. I-25 is scheduled to reopen at 5:30 a.m. 11/9/09. Alternate routes are advised.
