Three Rivers, Inc. Getting ready for Wamego DownTown Trick or Treat - every year the numbers keep growing, last year we thought we had enough candy for 800 kids and we ran out early! Tomorrow is the State Cross Country meet hosted here in Wamego. Should be lots of fun!

Three Rivers, Inc. I did a tour of Tuttle Creek River Pond area with a board member yesterday to review accessibility concerns. We then went to Milford Lake to see the dramatic difference both in maintenance and accessibility. We're looking forward to working with park officials to get the problems addressed before next year's "season". Any volunteers are welcome.
Three Rivers, Inc. Audrey's spending this week researching water cisterns, rain barrels and other "green" ways to water landscape at our new building. Just read an article that it's illegal to have a rain barrel in some locations in Colorado!! It's considered stealing I guess - go figure!
Three Rivers, Inc. Just finished reading the latest issue of New Mobility magazine which focused on Why Facebook Matters. Great insight to how others with disabilities are using this tool to network, support each other, challenge stereotypes and just to have fun.

Three Rivers, Inc. The 11th Kansas Disability Caucus "Yes We Can WORK" is coming up soon. Hundreds of people with disabilities will come together to learn, to share their stories and to advocate for needed changes. People with disabilities should not be hidden away, we can work, raise families and be active members of our communities. Come join us.
