Another last-second loss

ORLANDO, FLA. - LSU certainly knows how to make the final minute of its football games quite interesting. Against Ole Miss, there was poor clock management which resulted in a Tigers loss. Against Arkansas, there was a successful last-second drive which produced a game-tying field... goal. LSU then defeated the Razorbacks in overtime to wrap up a berth in the Capital One Bowl.

Offseason feeling

There are lots of good reasons for Les Miles and LSU to want to win the Capital One Bowl against Penn State. There's the ten-win season, the fourth in Miles five seasons in Baton Rouge. Aggressive LSU defense more than up to the task

That Auburn drove 59 yards in the final minute of play, called timeout to preserve time, got LSU to jump offsides and scored its lone touchdown with three seconds remaining mattered little. It was the previous 59 minutes and 57 seconds that spoke volumes about the homestanding Tigers' effort.
