Timber Trout Studios is our main facility, and is in a converted garage in North Oakland. How gear-geeky should we get here? We read TapeOp. We have an ADAT HD24 24-track recorder. A 70's Ludwig Drum set. Some Fender, Boogie and Ampeg amps. An upright piano. A Fender Rhodes. An 80's Casio Synthesizer. A 12-string electric guitar autographed by Andy Partridge. Some Mics by Groove Tubes and Audio Techinica. A couple of Distressors. Mic preamps by Tube-Tech and Universal Audio. A Melodica. A Mackie Console. A Peavey Valverb. A Fender Mustang Bass. Some beat up Strats and other thrift-store-worthy electric guitars. A Fender Lead II copy (probably a Hondo) in need of a new neck. A couch we found on the sidewalk. A 6-channel Tapco Mixer found on the sidewalk, used only for its mic preamps. An Emu Vintage keys module used solely for its mellotron sounds. A saxophone made out of PVC. A glockenspiel. A vintage 60's beatbox with veg-o-matic style buttons. An Ultraman diorama where Philmeistaire hides goodies for us. (read less)
