There are many versions of the lyrics of this traditional Scottish song. I guess that would make sense when it's been sung and played since the 1600's. Here's the version I prefer, but I'd rather it was all sweet, without all the breaking and fading away.....

that's back now
to be written about

aglow in impossible greens
and the... exquisite screech
of rusty
construction equipment
perfectly attuned
to my third thoracic vertebra
or the pair puzzling
a crossword
across from me
paralleled by
a pair of java sparrows
and my doppel
over there
man writing alone
for a moment
harmonies swath
and bandaid
scraped spots

below the left shoulder
near the lung
reminding me to breathe
