Toledo Farmers' Market

I miss the market. We have some similar places loally here but prices are higher than grocery stores and quality is poor. Nothing like I remember the one in Toledo being.

Will be handing out candy @ Erie St. Antiques & Collectibles for those little ones in costumes :)

I want to do a whole wall of old photos for the new office. My goal is to collect some from the vendors or customers that may have them. So if you hear of any, let me know!

Obviously the pictures were before my time at the market. I only remember the two rows of stalls and the one set of stalls along Superior and the market office. Nice pics.

no it was outside. You have to look close because it is kind of small but you can see the Erie Street Market building and behind that, is the market. It does not really look like much, I am working on blowing up that section so you can see it better, will post if I am successful!

The location of the first photo, "Circa 1900 when the market was on Superior Street", is where the Mudhens stadium is now. I remember when it was a just a strip of grass for a long time.

We are outside through November. Starting December 5 (first Saturday in December) the garage doors get rolled down and hours will be 9am until 1pm.

I'm glad to hear about the winter expansion! we love the market year 'round!

Tomorrow is Apple Fest. We have Slow Food Maumee Valley visiting and cooking up some apple recipes, Whiskey Before Breakfast is playing, an apple pie contest, and apple recipes from our vendors.
