Sally Robbins Hey Tom... instead of taking campaign contributions from the Minnesota Indian Gaming Association, why don't you talk about taxing these casinos around the state pulling in billions of dollars in profits... tax these one armed bandits and the state wouldn't have this financial mess.

Hey Tom... instead of taking campaign contributions from the Minnesota Indian Gaming Association, why don't you talk about taxing these casinos around the state pulling in billions of dollars in profits... tax these one armed bandits and the state wouldn't have this financial mess. Must be you like the campaign contributions more than solving ... See Moreproblems. Did these casino managements toss a few jobs to your friends in the building and construction trades unions or what? I see where you support holding the 8th Congressional District in that non-union, smoke filled Grand Casino in Hinckley where workers are employed without any rights. You going to see to it that more workers have the same "opportunities." You had a lot of nerve talking about how you think smoking should be allowed in bars to create a "level playing field" for restaurant and bar owners having to compete with these casinos when you let these casinos get away without paying any taxes like the bars and restaurants. You are nothing but a hypocrite.

When you head out to your next campaign stop I hope you are going to explain to voters why you are letting these casinos go tax-free. I hope you will also tell voters exactly how much you are getting in campaign contributions from the casinos. If you become governor the Minnesota Indian Gaming Association will be pulling your strings.

Tom Bakk is having a busy week. Meet-and-Greets in St. Cloud, Cloquet, Aitkin and others, raising money, rallying against the Stupak Amendment at the capitol, the release of the state budget forecast, and today the endorsement of the State Building trades. This is what campaigning is all about!

Tom Bakk More press on the campaign trail - Politics in Minnesota takes a look at Senators Saltzman and Lynch's support for me: http://www.politicsinminnesota.com/2009/nov17/3853/first-termers-lynch-saltzman-back-bakk

www.politicsinminnesota.com
In a letter, Sens. Ann Lynch, DFL-Rochester, and Kathy Saltzman, DFL-Woodbury, praised Bakk as a leader who can "work across party lines, make difficult decisions and get the work done."
