What I really wish is that I could track down A.S. Byatt's interview of Morrison for The Guardian. That one really helped me, as an undergrad encountering her for the first time, to read he...r work. Anyone know of a video of it stashed away somewhere on the internet? Or other videos, articles, etc. worth sharing?
Toni Morrison Hi -- this is Jesse Cohn, not Toni Morrison (for some reason, since I'm the person who created the page, Facebook keeps attributing anything I do on this page to "Toni Morrison" -- maybe it's some weird 21st-century comment on the concept of authorship). Welcome, everybody. Would anyone else like to be an administrat...or of the page? Please let me know. Also, if anyone a.) knows Morrison well enough to ask her for a photo we may use, or b.) can get hold of a public-domain photo, I'd be more than happy to replace the giant question mark with a picture of our favorite novelist. (Although come to think of it, maybe that's a comment on the nature of authorship as well; maybe we should replace the images of all our cultural heroes with question marks from time to time . . .)
Toni Morrison It just seems wrong to me that there is not a page for Toni Morrison, of whose works I am a longtime admirer. If she or her publishers object, this can be taken down.
