From my matmagician friend @Shannon Monasco

First let's find their epoch (time zero, like jan 1 1 ad). 2985 years ago is 876 BCE (extra minus 1 for no year zero.) So (our year + 876)/2.6 = their year. Except that their civ did not start 2985 years ago on our jan 1 exactly. Our calender year starts shortly after winter solstice. Their solistices ... See Morewon't be the same and their first day won't be the same. Also did they start in the zero year as zero isn't a natural concept or was that year one for them.

Tony Daniel (fiction writer) Really like these macabre, but gorgeous photos by David Maisel. Old copper
cannisters containing the ashes of the deceased inmates of an insane
asylum. They sat on a shelf for nearly fifty years.

On a similar note, UTD scientists are in the process of developing a foldable computer. You will be able to roll it up and toss it in your back pack. No more broken laptops if you drop it. Maybe they can use this technology to further their development. pretty cool

Tony Daniel (fiction writer) Parietal area has something like our physical sense of self. Knock it out if you want to speak in tongues! Just
kidding, of course. This doesn't really say anything about the
ultimately meaning of human spirituality other than the obvious fact
that human evolution has wrapped itself around human spiritual
experience and ...that spiritual experience has been incorporated into our physical bodies. "So how come that to be?" is a question for science. "Why come that to be?" isn't, I don't think.
