TV commercial created and produced by Tony Schwartz for Ed Mezvinsky's 1972 Iowa campaign for congress

Christopher Calo Is there any value to an original tony reel> I have a copy of "Nancy age 13". Does anyone know anything about this?

Chris Strouth I taught about him in a class, it was always on of my favorite parts of the semester

Howard Glasser I worked with Tony in those early days - before the daisy ad - he was a friend -

Tony Schwartz Fans of sound will enjoy this event, slated for July 18th...
Location:everywhere around the world, wherever you are, wherever there is sound
Time:12:00AM Sunday, July 18th

Sam Katz I was at the house sale today on West 56 Street. I was on my second buying trip when I finally asked just whose house it was. I was so thrilled to find out it was Mr. and Mrs. Schwartz's! I was professionally weaned in the world of radio, promotion, and public relations, where Schwartz is an icon. I am also so reliev...ed that the Library of Congress now has his archive where it can be studied for centuries (we hope) to come. Thanks for posting this homage to your father: it’s great to know the Schwartz family appreciates the incredible work their parents did in preserving the sounds and sights of America.

Gerald Alan Miller The daisy ad that helped defeat Goldwater? Anything that keeps conservatives out of government is a good thing!

Olivia Altschuler Tony Schwartz came to Y&R 40 years ago where I was working in and gave a jew-dropping lecture on radio commercials. He then agreed to teach one of my classes at Pratt and when my then husband, Jim Trager, suggested I give him The Media and the Message as a thank you, he became a friend. Finally he became a client. In ...all roles he was unforgettable. But never modest

Jack Baxter I met Tony and his wife 20 years ago when my girlfriend's car was burglarized one Friday night on West 57th Street. The thief stole her briefcase containing her business work files and dumped them outside Tony and Reenah's place on 56th between Ninth and Tenth Avenue. Reenah called us up in Yonkers and we went down and... picked up the papers and he showed us his audio equipment and the Hely Lima construction art on his walls and gave me his book "Media: The Second God." Nice guy. Seeya, Tony.

Jim Raposa Met Tony in the 80's while working for another legend, Jack G. Thayer. The path this man blazed is mind boggling.

Tony did some commercials for me for a candidate I was spporting. Tony quickly developed sharp ideas for the presentation and was great to work with.
Do you know the Daisey ad only ran as a commercial once and then pulled. It was repeated dozens of times on national and local TV and became a major topic of hundreds of n...ews papers.
