Hunting is big business in rural Kansas, where hunters visit with guns, ammo, and fat wallets. This banner greeted sportsmen in the western Kansas town of Hays just before the opening of pheasant season.

northwestern US, are on a genealogy trip through Kansas.

Kansas Historical Society Our next exhibit is "Cars: The Need for Speed." The exhibit, which opens January 22, 2010, features several automobiles, some from our collection and some borrowed from Kansas race car drivers. These photos tell the story of moving day!

Okay...maybe not. In truth, Jen is loaning us one of her cars for the exhibit. But how will we get it through the museum doors? Tune in later today for photos!
