Bloody Highlight!
by Ash at 10:38pm
Evil dead: the musical! I first thougth of it as a weird idea - and it is!

But I gave it a change: I bougth the soundtrack from Ebay, and I was hooked! I HAD to see the musical! So I did! I went to the first plane from Norway, Europa, to Toronto, Canada!

I was shocked about the quality of the show - blod squirting everywere and lots of good songs. The show blew my brains out - almost littarly. I got alot of favorites on the stage, like a Cheryl bounsing around on the stage, a groovy Ash, reliable Nug, an Ashlovin' Linda, Evil Eddie, the one wha Scott to go and - last but not the least - the sexy Shelly (am I allowed to say that?).

Anyways: teriffic! I fell in love with EDTM and broke my hand! More than perfect service, the ultimate show! This is THE highlight of my life! I'll tell my grandchildren about EDTM!
The Greatest Musical of ALL TIME !

Sure, the works of Shakespeare have their moments, the foundations of philosophy and the discovery and use of electricity have provided a perk or two to society, but nothing we have ever seen, created, or divined will change the course of history, and mankind itself, like EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL.

Judgment at Nuremberg, 12 Angry Men, Glengary Glenn Ross - good plays.
West Side Story, the King and I, the Sound of Music - a decent song or two.
Chicago, All That Jazz, Singin' in the Rain - a fair dance number here or there.

But you combine the greatest dialogue, songs, and dance together, add a dose of bad language, a bunch of zombies, and a gratuitous amount of gore, and you have a MASTERPIECE that will rock the foundations of every human, animal, and plant society on the planet!

All kidding and hyperbole aside, EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL is pure genius. It perfectly straddles the line between parody and homage. It is the best and most fun piece of theater I have ever seen. The wife and I drove seven and a half hours from Columbus, Ohio to Toronto to see it. Twice. I only wish we could see it again before it closes.
BLOODY Good TIme!!

I bought the album at Sonic Boom on boxing day knowing that my boyfriend had heard of the show. It was love at first hear.

We saw the show for the first time on March 2nd in the afternoon. It was the best time I have ever had at a broadway show, and just like at any other geek fest, everyone was super nice and it just makes for a rocking good time!!!!

Have seen it 8 times now and each time leaves to be another piece of wonder!

For those of you who missed the 300, you missed a great show. It felt like the actors were feeding on the energy of the audience, it just seemed to be over the top performances. BRAVO!

5 Years on...

Today marks the fifth anniversary of the first professional performance of Evil Dead The Musical... which happened to also be the day of the big blackout! but the show went on, and it's only grown larger and more popular since.
Congrats to everyone involved in the early runs for getting the show off the ground, and to those involved since for keeping it going! And to the audience for being so insane!
Again and Again!

Saw it for the second time tonight. Checked out the improv and had a great time. Purchased 6 more tickets for sept 3rd splatter zone isle 1 this time. Few of the Cast was nice enough to stop and pose for a few pictures with the girls after work. Even the girl that was cleaning up after was cool enough to share our enthusiasm about the show.

Big fans, going to find that cube movie again to add to my collection since "Reliable Jake" is in it.

Would like to see a professional video released once the show is finished of the T.O of the cast.

You guys are top shelf compared to the other shows I have managed to find *cough* new york *cough*
I can now rest in peace.

I missed the show in Montreal a few years back at the Festival Juste Pour Rire de Montréal and though that it would come back the next but didn't. Last year I went on a business trip to Toronto and found out that it was playing there but I couldn't make it to the show. A few weeks ago, my boss tells me that i'm needed in Toronto again, so I went on the web site to see if it was still playing and YES it was. As soon as I got to Toronto, I went and bought a ticket for that very night (July 28). I finally saw it and really enjoyed. I hope they come back to Montréal so I can bring my friends. If not, well... I can still rest in peace.

Hahaha! I don't think you're going to be getting too many takers, John. Saturday is less than 24 hours away! *Sigh*

The tickets are still available for sale. Since we are a bit more desperate to get something for the tickets we'd be willing to negotiate for a price slightly below the purchase price of $41.50. The free bar menu and bologna offer is off the table but I will include a written transcript of what happened so you can at least discuss the show with friends and make it sound like you were actually there.
Mélissa wrote at 9:50pm
LOL! i didnt know it was bolonga at first so i took it home and i was sad that it wasnt theatre skin LOL
John wrote at 1:46pm
Time is running out. Only about half an hour left till we leave. There's no promises here but in addition to the menu we may be able to include a piece of bologna covered in the saliva of a cast member. This is an exclusive special offer that you can only get here. Not even the box office can offer this fantastic package.

Let's show those zombie screwheads who's in charge on October 19, 2008!
