Lee Prosperi I still can't figure out what the deal is with some of you so called Leaf fans. Some of you people are so bloody negative and two faced. I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion but why are you in this group if you are constantly going to criticize the organization in a negative way? If you want to bash the organization all the time then I suggest that you go join that group. This group should be for the DIE-HARD LEAF FANS...PERIOD! All I'm saying is that people should be more positive about the Leafs. I know we haven't won the Cup in a long time and the Leafs Nation is frustrated but we have to stop bashing the organization all the time. Like I mentioned before that we finally have a real GM here who is calling all the shots so we need to have a little faith!
That's just my opinion...

ya i agree, i been a fan since i was 5 years old, and get it all the time from friends how they think leafs will suck for ever! i just have to say go leafs go, and if we can keep kaberle, then we will have a great dfence, schenn, kaberle,komasarik, white. anyways i agree with u man we don't need band wagon fans, and i believe we have the most loyal fans in nhl, and i believe bure is doing a good job and that we will be back in cup contention in a coupleyears!

This kid is going to be amazing. He has tremendous on ice vision and hockey sense. He has a great combination of speed, girt and skill... Soft hands, one of the sickest shovel passes.. I really dont know what else to say about the kid.. Great pick at 7. A must see video for someone who doesnt know much about him.

Ryan Niemela For the guy who wrote we want to finish lower in the standings should be burnt alive and sent to the Habs training camp. We want to win.....never should we lay down and lose just to get a draft pick, that is the sadest thing i have ever heard. Give your head a shake. We have a decent team, but we need a little more offence, we have the D, we have Grit now, we have the speed, but we need more goals and 20 a season doesnt cut it. BUrke make a move dude.

I totally understand with what you wrote Daniel. Like I mentioned that it would be nice if Burke can get another forward or two for some added scoring depth. We'll have to wait and see who he brings in. I would have loved to see Nash play here but he re- signed with the Jackets for 8 years. Tanguay would be a nice addition.

Until it is reported by either of those two, don't believe it and get your hopes up for nothing... Ek was probably just bored today and figured a rumour like this would spark up the evening... Lee Prosperi Typical of Burke to start building the defence first and then work on the forwards but hey, I think that having a solid D is key to winning the Cup. Every year at this time we bitch and complain about the UFAs that the Leafs sign but I think that we need to give Burke a chance. At least he has the balls to go out their and make that blockbuster trade and he also makes a big splash in signing the UFAs... he's known for that. We finally have a REAL GM here, since Fletcher was let go in the mid 90's, and I think that things are looking up for the Leafs... GO LEAFS GO! I think that we'll be a playoff team in 2009-10 and a contender in a couple of years. We will eventually get back to the dance!

JFJ made all his trades to save his job rather than improve the team for years to come. i really think he got the short end of the stick.. he was crucified for signing Bryan Mcabe for big cash but at the time mccabe was the leading pointgetter AND he was selected to the olympic team.. I think burkes smartest move was telling peddie and the rest of the suits to stand off and let him have control!

Ryan Niemela Hello again, I would like to throw this out there and say that us as fans try to start some sort of Strike towards the Leafs to lower Ticket prices or try to regulate the sale of tickets. We should try to adapt the english football way of ticket sales and sell the tickets 2 days befour the game on a first come first serve basis, At a maximum of 4 tickets per person. This gives everyone a fair chance to see the great team we all love. This organization is spitting in the faces of it's true fans for years and we keep taking it. Time to say something back. I'm tired of going to a game not only to watch the leafs lose, but to sit beside some fag bastard in a suit who doesn't give two shits about whats happening only about what he is reading on his blackberry.
Also for those who do go to the games, How about getting loud for once this year. It's a joke how quite the ACC is these days, it is louder in Flordia. Sad but true.

I get what you're saying man, they do have us by the balls as far as ticket prices go, but how many fans would honestly go on strike, I mean really? Personally I sit in the 400s every year with my dad and pay about 100 bucks a seat happily!

It's history, pride, and heart we have on a team like this, no matter who rips on us or how poor we might do. Ferguson made an assload of mistakes, granted, but Burke is changing this - You don't go to fucking hockey games with the attitude to see the home team lose no matter what team you side with. Hockey is about the thrill of the competition, grit, and pride, regardless of if we win or lose. Not about how many cups you have or how expensive the tickets are!
