|
I got a CAT D8N it is located east of Los Angeles, CA and needs to be moved to Galveston, TX, I have a decent rate on it but thinking I am gonna need to remove
the blade and have a second trailer for it and a 7 axle for the dozer. It also has a ripper on it that may be removable. we do not have exact weights on this
but believe it to be around 83K.

Where is the Training and Safety forum?
5 Nov 2009, 9:18 pm

I must have missed something (usually lots!), but what happened to the Training and Safety Forum? There was a lot of good info in there...announcements for
upcoming classes, reports on classes attended, and more besides WreckMaster and Wilburn.

WreckMaster Class in North Florida and South Alabama
5 Nov 2009, 9:00 pm
|
I just finished my 6/7 class and talked with the instructors about having a class at our place in south Alabama. They said if I could get the people to come to
the class, they would be more than happy to start with the 2/3 class. We are about 50 miles north of Dothan AL on the Alabama - Georiga line. About 215 miles
from Pensacola. I'm sure some of the guys in Dothan would let us have it at thier place. What do yall think? Are any of you interested in attending? There
have not been any...

Stuck Kobelco Track Hoe

Well this is one of those calls you like to get but don't like to get. I enjoyed the challenge but I've been under the weather for the last few days
so pulling out over 500 feet of cable (including 2 1/2 x 75 extension cables) just didn't help however I don't think I knew I felt bad during the whole
process. I think they call that Adrenaline..
I was told it weighs 30,000#

Started as an easy winchout then wrecker made enviro-mess
5 Nov 2009, 7:02 pm
|
Needless to say I did not send off for any lottery tickets yesterday after this one... Get a call to go do a pretty straight forward winch out on a
International. the lot was very steep where I had an option to place the wrecker. The business owner was nice enough to let me pull into one of their bays to
have a good and flat winching platform. The truck driver was dropping off at this location for his first time and goofed trying to back out. Over the cross
ties and on a downward slide....

went.

ISB 260HP Injector Line Failure
5 Nov 2009, 5:29 pm
|
My 06 F650 w/260 HP IBX and Century 21' turned 190,000 miles today. At exactly 190,000 miles the #4 injector line split at the injector allowing
diesel to spray everywhere and allowing the loss of prime once the engine was shut down (with a car on the bed). This line has a mount that bolts to the engine
and a rubber bushing in the mount to prevent vibration (I guess) from cracking or splitting this line. Turns out the bushing dried out (at least is came out in
pieces) and this...

This accident happened about 30 years ago... The trailer was loaded of some type of hazardous chemicals.. The cab of the CL Cabover ford was knocked off the
chassis ... The trailer came to rest partially in the water wedged between the two bridges... By the time the clean up was completed and the units recovered
the roadway had been shut for near 21 hours... One of our Challenger light duties was brand new and hadn't even been lettered yet... Thanks.. Steve

Boring rig
5 Nov 2009, 4:56 pm
|
We move this boring rig quite often. These pics were taken over the summer. The company that owns it does not have a truck large enough to pull it. Machine
weighs approximately 18.5K plus trailer. Chuck (traytow2) usually tows it with the 3212 but the HPL60 handles it just fine. Sorry about the pics. NC humidity
and A/C don't mix well with my Blackberry.
