An Old-Fashion Christmas Time (Concert)
Monday, December 14th, 2009 @ 7 pm
Clarenville Events Centre
We will be hosting our third annual Old-Fashion Christmas Time at the Clarenville Events Centre on December 14th at 7 pm. This year’s concert will be a mix of local comedy (skits, recitations), great music and old-fashion ...fun.
Get out your favourite “Mummering” costume and register at 6:30 pm. Prizes will be given for Most Spirited Mummer and Most Unique Outfit.
No Christmas concert is complete without a visit from Santa Claus. So come along and bring the kids (Santa will be distribute Grab Bags), and enjoy a night of song, laughter and dancing with the mummers.
Admission is free, however, a contribution to the local Food Bank is welcome!

Town of Clarenville (NL) The annual lighting of the Town Christmas Tree and Town Star will take place in front of the Town hall on Pleasant Street on Sunday, December 6th at 4:30 pm. There will be music from the Salvation Army band, a Christmas Carol sing-a-long, Hot Chocolate and cookies. Come out to this community celebration of the seaso...n and bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank.

Dee Mullaly Strowbridge Join SIFE Clarenville (Students in Free Enterprise) on Wednesday December 2, 2009 at 7:00 at the College of the North Atlantic in welcoming Carl Duivenvoorden as a guest speaker on the topic "An Inconvenient Truth.” Carl’s presentation is a live version of the slideshow used by Al Gore in his Academy Award-winning documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth”.

SIFE Clarenville (Students in Free Enterprise) is a student run organization at the College of the North Atlantic. From November 30 - Dec 4, 2009 SIFE is hosting an EnviroFest week. During this time we are challenging company's in the Clarenville area to take part in the "Green Computing Challenge".
The Green Computing... Challenge is aimed towards helping the local business community to reduce its carbon footprint by simply turning off its computers at the end of the work day.

Diane Wells-Ryzuk I think that the Santa Claus parade should go to the Cormack Mini Mart. What about everyone who lives past the United church. Every year the route gets changed, taking in less and less of SHOAL HARBOUR!!!! If the route is too long than start at the Shopping Center.
