- The portal www.trevisosystem.com is a project financed by the Treviso Chamber of Commerce to present the economy of the province of Treviso, developed by Treviso Tecnologia, the Chamber of Commerce’s special agency for innovation.
Trevisosystem.com carries out the double function of informing and promoting, being thus a showcase for the economy of the province as a whole and of its industrial clusters, also including single traders and their activities.
Moreover, it is aimed at supporting companies on the global market and helping them to be more competitive, through the services offered and constantly updated news.
It offers guarantee of quality, and an aid to orientation for all those who look for and develop economic networks on the Internet.
It provides economic information about the province of Treviso from different points of view: information that can be useful for both companies – integral part of the territory - , and economic operators, associations, Italian and foreign professionals, who may want to invest in the province of Treviso or just broaden their knowledge on it, and Italian and foreign citizens living in the area to make them learn more about their territory.
It aims to become a landmark to all those who, for professional and working reasons, for tourism or for simple curiosity, are interested in getting in touch with the reality of this area.
It gathers information from websites and other sources, to make the search for products, companies and cooperation within the territory faster and more targeted.
Trevisosystem.com has been able to break down the barriers of information so as to communicate with everyone, including blind and partially sighted people, with the birth of www.trevisoaccessibile.it: in this way, also elderly users can possibly approach the web more easily.
There is also a mobile version, http://trevisosystem.mobi, which allows users to consult the economic website by means of mobile phones or pocket PCs, thus accompanying them while travelling for business or pleasure.
Among the sections, the TvDotCom deserves a mention: here the companies located in the province of Treviso can present themselves through a “company card”, with the further possibility of describing their activities also in English, taking advantage of the excellent web positioning of trevisosystem.com: the aim is to support companies and foster internationalisation.
For this reason, the above section has been also developed in Russian and Japanese, on the basis of economic analyses and research on market prospects.
This is the immediate aid we decided to offer to the companies in this area during this unfavourable economic period.
The section Invest in Treviso contains a series of articles on the attractiveness and the strengths of the province of Treviso from the economic perspective; its intention is to promote the territory by providing potential foreign investors with reliable and complete information on the economic system of the province of Treviso.
It is complete with all the articles in Italian. Some of them are available also in English, Russian and Japanese.
Along with the Italian, English, Russian an Japanese, some news are available also in Spanish.
Newsletters are periodically sent both in Italian and English.
Return is in terms of participation by users and recognition for the work done.
Users and companies are facilitated in their research on economic issues, since they can find all the information they need on the province of Treviso within a unique website that also addresses them to external sources if necessary. Moreover, companies in the area are more likely to gain business contacts.
We already observed some occasions of exchange of both knowledge and business through our website. In particular, we put in touch some subjects who contacted us, and provided some others with additional information on issues related to university.
What we learnt is that collaborating and sharing knowledge can create added value. Moreover, working with commitment and dedication helps to gain a good reputation and being recognised for reliability.
Trevisosystem.com has been recently awarded finalist at the contest for innovators in the public administration, within the framework of Forum PA in Rome.
