Truman State University Press David Moolten will be signing copies of T. S. Eliot prize-winning book "Primitive Mood" Saturday, November 21, at Playing with the Spirit Coffeehouse, in Wayne, PA.
Truman State University Press "Deaths on Pleasant Street" won the 2009 Historic Book of the Year from the Jackson County Historical Society. Author Gles Fowler recieved the award for his extraordinary contribution to local history and for preserving and understanding the county's heritage.

A century has passed, and people still wonder how the deaths went down in that Independence mansion. Was the home of the Swopes, where the old bachelor benefactor of Swope Park resided with relatives, in fact the scene of the cruelest and most cunning of killings?
Truman State University Press A new Ken Burns PBS special, “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea,” includes Truman State University Press author and historian, Alfred Runte. He is interviewed in the series and served as an advisor to Ken Burns for the film. The special series that begins airing September 27 on PBS, follows the history America’s national park system and the people who both supported and opposed their creation.

Truman State University Press David Moolten’s 2009 T. S. Eliot Prize-winning book, “Primitive Mood,” a collection of powerful, brooding poems, was released this month. Poet and contest judge Virgil Suárez said the work is "hauntingly beautiful and just the right potent mixture of reality and modern day fable—quite enchanting, mesmeric."
