Born in Congo (DRC) and now based in France (Paris)... , Ray Lema is internationally known for his beautiful melodies and his mastery of African polyrhythm. His engagement with João Maurico Galindo, conductor and artistic director of the Jazz Sinfônica from São Paulo, resulted in this African repertoire being adapted and scored for orchestra, which paves the way for other orchestras to perform this body of work.
LEMA and GALINDO are now looking for new collaborations with symphony orchestras internationally.

Tucson Symphony Orchestra Meet and mingle with the TSO musicians following the Strauss, Liszt & Poetry performance on Thursday, October 29! Tucson Symphony Orchestra If you are watching KUAT TV tonight you may see some familiar faces. Nine musicians from the TSO will be manning the phones during the station’s pledge drive.
