As Awe Star returns to Uganda this year in partnership with XTreme teams International, there is much excitement for the ministry to this spiritually starved, impoverished nation. We have had the humbling experience of reaching the Karamojong Tribe with not only the gospel through Chronological Bible storying and star...ting a church, but also by helping meet medical, educational and economic needs.
This will be a great training trip for those whom God calls to be career missionaries to unreached third world nations. Plan on living in tents with no luxuries. This trip requires a great deal of maturity and the team will be comprised of those who have been out of high school for at least a year. If you are serious about a life of mission work, if your heart beats for the nations, if you are physically fit enough to make long daily hikes in difficult terrain, and if you long to take missions to the next level, apply now. Time to experience Africa through His heart.

Sapphire seas and long stretches of white sand, waving palm trees and schools of leaping dolphins - the beauty of this land beckons tourists from across the world. Although surfing, sailing, and fishing abound, spiritual darkness casts an enduring shadow over what has become known as an island playground for the rich ...and famous.
On this, Awe Star's third trip to this Muslim nation, the dual threads of relationships and cultural exchange will interwine to form our net. Seeking to understand the people, their lifestyle, and their beliefs, we will travel by boat to various parts of the country. We'll work to embrace the people as individuals, sharing our lives and hearts one-on-one. We'll learn about their culture and customs and, as God leads us, share some of ours. We'll teach English and other subjects in local schools and use the relationships formed there to establish social opportunities in the communities.
If you sense the priority of prayer preparation and are equipped to enter a land of spiritual darkness, if you value relationships more than immediate results, this may be the trip for you. Is God calling you into this island adventure?

A collision of three worlds: multiple cultures, two predominant languages, and three different countries that share common borders. Where do we find all this? At the intersection of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina in a place known as the Three Frontiers.
This region is the home of the Iguazu Falls. They are taller than ...Niagara Falls and twice as wide, with 275 cascades spread in a horseshoe shape over nearly two miles. Our base of operations will be the Brazilian border city of Foz do Iguaçu.
This frontier region has a large settlement (estimated at 50,000) of both Arab and Asian immigrants. Team Three Frontiers will have the amazing opportunity to experience ministry not only in Spanish and Portugese but potentially in Arabic and Chinese as well.
How will these varied people groups know they matter to God? Unless someone goes and tells them - they won't.

This summer will mark Awe Star’s 17th year serving in Peru. Over the years, hundreds of new believers have received Christ.
The brilliant colors of the native Quechua dress splash across dusty roads and marketplaces. Crumbling roofs and sagging doors speak loudly. With more than a third of her population below the p...overty line, Peru exists as a nation in need.
Much greater needs compel your witness: lives trapped in the stupor of alcohol; hearts imprisoned by religious ritual and idolatry. Help free these captives as you travel to cities in jungle and mountain regions. Use creative arts to share the story of Christ from creation through resurrection. Help plant churches amongst these loving people who respond so openly to Jesus' love.
We have had the privilege of working with Pastor Tito who has connected us with many pastors, seminary students and translators. They in turn help the new believers to get connected to area churches and to become established in their new faith. The Lord is gathering a great harvest among the Peruvian people.
They matter. Will you show them?
