City of Tulsa Join Mayor Kathy Taylor and Entrepreneurs of Tulsa as we kick-off Global Entrepreneurship Week in Tulsa. City of Tulsa The second annual Tulseys recognize the pioneers and innovators of the Tulsa community. The Tulseys are a publicly driven awards consisting of eleven categories: Civic, Emerging, Entertainment, Franchise, Green, Interactive, Restaurateur, Legend, Serial, Young and the coveted Entrepreneur of the Year. There is no cost to attend this event.

City of Tulsa Entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs and their supporters are all invited to this special celebration night during Global Entrepreneurship Week where Mayor Kathy Taylor and SpiritBank CEO Kell Kelly will announce the winner of the Mayor’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Award sponsored by SpiritBank on Tuesday, November 17.

The Mayor’s Police and Community Coalition (MPACC) will hold a Student Forum on the OSU-Tulsa Campus this Saturday to improve student understanding of law enforcement functions.
The forum, open to youth and the general public, will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the auditorium at OSU-Tulsa. The free... forum includes a pizza lunch and much more for all participants. Pre-registration is not required.
The forum is designed to familiarize students with the following:
• Reasons for police stops
• Appropriate and inappropriate behavior during police stops
• Information on community policing
• Viewing law enforcement officers as ‘real people’
• Principles of student responsibility and accountability for behaviors that may result in police contact
In addition to the free pizza, attendees will receive redeemable certificates, gift bags, attendance credits and more. A special drawing will be held for four tickets to the “So You Think You Can Dance Tour 2009” on October 30, seats located in a BOK Center Suite.
