Tupelo Film Festival Casting call Dec. 5th for 12-16 year old girls Saturday: Coen Brothers film They are looking for a girl with “steely nerves,” a “straightforward manner” and true grit. Casting call will be held from 10 to 5:30 Sat. at the East Memphis Hilton at 939 Ridge Lake Blvd. for the potentially star-making role of spunky young... Mattie Ross, a lead character in the Coens’ upcoming remake of the 1969 Western, “True Grit.”

Tupelo Film Festival Indie Film Series tonight at the Link Centre in Tupelo. "The Way We Get By" will be an well crafted, emotionally moving picture that will warm you up for the Thanksgiving Holiday. 6:30 tonight.

Tupelo Film Festival "The Way We Get By", by all accounts, is one of the best and most moving documentaries of the year. Winning mulitple awards and playing to appreciative audiences across the country, this film will be showing at the Link Centre's Black Box Theater, Tuesday night. Doors open at 6:30. $5 cover includes popcorn and drink.

Hospitality is Tupelo's middle name and the annual film festival is a great place to meet and mingle with filmmakers and film enthusiasts.

Tupelo Film Festival A show produced for the History Channel is coming to MS and the producers are looking for leads on folks who have odd collections of "stuff". (Note that they ARE NOT looking for dealers.) They ARE looking for accumulations of Americana: old motorcycles, gas pumps, signs, etc. And if the person who has the collection i...s a character...so much the better! If you know anyone, send their names. We'll forward the info.
