Hate to be the bearer of bad news... 6:02pm

Just on the off chance one of you hasn't given up on us, we're sorry to say that it doesn't look we are going to get our act together concerning the podcast. We are pulling the plug.

We loved doing it and we miss it, especially the people we got to meet because of the podcast. Between family, work, various charities, somebody's movie addiction, home, global warming, computer woes and the hotness of Christian Bale, the podcast sort of got lost on our priority lists.

We would like to take a moment to say a few things:

1. We had a split vote on Singularity. One of us liked it and one of us didn't. We'll let you guess which was which. But you should check it out if you like your science fiction sciencey and just check out PodioBooks.com in general. (Currently listening to In Search of #6 by Damon Timm; would highly recommend but it isn't sci-fi or fantasy.)
2. If you are not watching Stargate Atlantis, you really should be. And we also like the new shows Reaper and Chuck ('cause it has Adam Baldwin!!! and it is funny too.)
3. Whenever you need a comic fix, visit ComicHunter.net. (They can find anything and we had to say something in parentheses.)

#55 - M is for Movie Review - Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End 9:24pm

This one is going to sound a bit different because we recorded it live at the Owl's Nest Bookstore in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The Owl's Nest is the largest used bookstore in New Brunswick and you definitely need to stop in if you are in the area. It is speculated that every book ever written is in that store, you just have to know how to find it. Today we are discussing Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. So we get to revisit our old friends Captain Jack, Will, Elizabeth, and Captain Barbossa and talk about what we liked and what we didn't.

Doctor Who in Canada 11:43pm

Just on the off chance you are Canadian and a Doctor Who fan and might not already know this, CBC is playing the Christmas Special "The Runaway Bride" Monday night (June 11th).  Sort of a Christmas in June type of thing.  And the Monday after that, June 18th, they are going to start airing series three, the ones with the new Companion, Martha.  Yay!

In an unrelated note, they airred the Spaceys tonight and guess who won Viewer Fave TV Character.... hehe "In your face, Jack Bauer!" Take a listen to podcast #51 if you want to know who we were hoping to win.

This week, thanks to Comic Hunter.net, we are reviewing part one of Stephen King's Darktower "The Gunslinger Born" by Robin Furth and Peter David (art by Jae Lee) and Army@Love by Rick Veitch (art by Veitch and Gary Erskine).  This one is marked Explicit just to be on the safe side.

It is Doctor Who time and we thought we would weigh in on how we felt about the new companion of our favourite Time Lord. Granted, he is the only Time Lord of the competition was a little sparse. Likes, dislikes, you will have to listen to find out.

WARNING: If you want to remain completely and totally spoiler free, you might want to skip this one and we wonât take it personally. We donât get into plot or the like but there is some mention of episode topics and time travelling destinations. You have been warned.
