Marian Ridgeway This is very interesting. I have been gone from UA for 20+years and had no idea of some of the great alum!

Jenny Brown Tincher Not sure if the "hall of fame" is still hanging in Jones, but would love to see postings of each of the displays.

Kay Worrel This is fantastic! I lost all of my Norwesters in a move.

Nancy This question was a challenge, especially for someone who was clueless about Hugo Awards let alone winners of the award. With assistance from Google, I believe the correct answer must be Robert Heinlein.

UA Archives | Upper Arlington History Lois McMaster is pictured here during her Sophomore year at UAHS in 1965. Can you name the only other author to have won four Hugo Awards for Best Novel, besides Lois McMaster Bujold? The other author is not a UAHS graduate, but it proves that Lois is in some very good company!

UA Archives | Upper Arlington History Thank you, Susan and Marcia...you're exactly right! Lois Joy McMaster graduated from UAHS in 1967. As Lois McMaster Bujold, she has won two Nebula Awards and four Hugo Awards for Best Novel, plus a Nebula and Hugo award for one of her novellas. She is the author of twenty-two novels, including the Vorkosigan Saga and the Sharing Knife series.

Susan Another famous U.A. alum is Lois mcMaster (1967) who is a successful Science Fiction/Fantasy writer under the name Lois McMaster Bujold.

UA Archives | Upper Arlington History Can you recognize this UAHS graduate from her junior class photo (taken in 1991)?

As a lifetime UA resident, documentary filmmaker and collector of old films, posters, records and just about anything else nostalgic, I really appreciate the efforts being made by the UA library to digitize and make these documents/photos so easily accessible. I am particularly excited about the forthcoming UAHS Yearb...ooks! Preservation of this unique community's history is vital. Way too much historical film, documents, photos, etc., have already been lost or destroyed in this Country and efforts like these should not go unnoticed. Thank you Sara Klein and others for preserving the history of our city!Read More
