| Mission: | UBS exists to alleviate the problems faced by the most disadvantaged and isolated older people, especially those living alone in inner-city areas. We provide to those in need lifelong friendship and financial support. UBS supports people without distinction of class, creed, nationality or background. |
| Products: | We provide a range of voluntary support including telephone befriending and personal visits whenever possible to reduce social exclusion as 94% of our beneficiaries live alone. In addition, we provide a regular income, grants in emergencies, bedding and Christmas gifts; along with newsletters and cards to ensure peace of mind and to promote independence. |
