Okay, because it's a new month (and apparently John Donne is a player...) the new July poet is Andrew Marvell. What can I say? I have a thing for these metaphysical guys...
Thanks to Gavin for the Donne info--it's up to him to unearth the real dirt on Marvell now...we're counting on you!

Maybe as a discussion thread? That way we'll eventually have "topics" on all our favorite poets and people can post any info they would like to share.
I think the "alumni profile" will have to wait until we have a "mirror site" at UGA, which won't be long -- we are looking to hire someone who could perhaps help us maint...ain such a page for alums and help with "development" i.e. alumni relations.

UGA English Department Alumnae/i I thought Donne should be first because he is only the most incredible poet known to man...that was my difficulty--not knowing where to post the info! Suggestions would be wonderful!

UGA English Department Alumnae/i Yes, thanks, Mallory! Mallory wants to have a different author photo each month, and maybe a profile. (I'm not sure where all this would go on the page, though -- on the wall? A discussion thread? A "Note"? I guess what we should do is set up a regular web page and post the link here.
