In the last few years, Wilson and Diamond started the trend of using alternative metals to steel in order to build a lighter mask that still maintained a high level of strength. While these 2 companies were getting all the attention, Champro came in late this past spring with an even lighter mask,...

Well, I looked up some info about this helmet and can't see anyone selling it to find out what the retail price would be. The concept is interesting, which it appears is that the padding is military designed.

I do know with my discussions with Wilson this fall is that the next step for them beyond the FX would be go with an anti-concussion anti-IED type military foam. I'm all for this, but the cost would likely be very high. But still all for this so umpires can have options at any costs.

Would like to get my hands on the All Star one before I say too much good or bad about it specifically.... See More

Congrats on a busy and productive year! My parents owned their own business for many, many years. I have a great appreciation for smaller businesses.

I love your ultimate referee basketball shirts that I purchased at the beginning of this basketball season. I look forward to trying out your baseball shirts as well.

Good luck to you and the expansion of your business in 2010! You have my business as a loyal customer, that's for sure.

John, Yes. We do plan to attend - end of July in Minneapolis. Will you be there. We are looking forward to visit with our good customers from MN.

Thanks Monty for your kind words about the business as well as the shirts. After reviewing that list, I was honestly a little taken aback by what was accomplished in '09 - not sure how we pulled it all off actually. Hard work and good a crew I suppose.

If I can ever assist you in any way, don't hesitate.... See More

Ray Hernandez Hi, you mentioned elswhere that you were not planning to carry the new davishin leg guards... Can you elaborate?

Interesting question with a simple strategic-related answer. Gerry Davis is a competitor. We just made a conscious decision we didn't want to have any products for sale anymore with his name on it. This decision was easier when the switch was made to a new style of Davis gear as we rid our older style inventory and realizing there are plenty of choices available in quality leg guards without promoting his name and leg guards.
