Steven Spadafino Thanks to Uncle Floyd and all cast and crew for entertaining and providing so many of us with forever memories. Not just the bits but the general fun state of mind and happiness over the years (even though you could see or sense a lot of in-house animosity once in a while). Nothing will ever top UFS.

I loved the story Floyd told about that saying; one morning after taping a weeks worth of shows the case typically went for breakfast. Scott walked in as Floyd was finishing asking; " Hey buddy are you going to eat that toast." Hope I have the story right it's been allot of years.

Hi Uncle Floyd, Please accept my belated Happy Birthday wish to you! I didn't realize it was October 19th. Also I know this is a sad time of year for all Uncle Floyd Show fans. It was 4 years ago this week we all lost our beloved Mugsy. I've been a huge fan of your show since March of 1981. I followed you from Ch. 68 ...to Ch. 4 to Ch 50. I'll never forget when I had the chance to meet all you guys at a store in Bergenfield in 1982. You were all so friendly and graciously posed for photos for me. I'll never forget how friendly Mugsy was to me & I still have a Fork You T-shirt somewhere. I always wanted to ask you, when you were giving out autographs, everyones paper was so thin and light accept for Scott "Hey Buddy" Gordon's which was thick and heavy. Why was that? Did the paper selection go by weight? Any way I'm off topic. Thanks for everything Floyd. Give my best to the cast and again accept my condolences on the loss of Mugsy. He was a great man.Read More

Yes, we all miss Mugsy. Thanks for your kind words.

Just for the record, Floyd doesn't see this page. He even doesn't have a computer. Floyd still plays 78 RPM records!

Al Are any of the shows from channel 50 available? We appeared in a "viewer follies" segment back in 4/86 during a pledge drive Floyd was hosting. Would love to get a copy.

The only way to get a specific show is to find a fan who recorded it. If you know the exact date of your appearance you can try posting a request here or on the Yahoo group.

Artie, thanks so much for responding. If memory serves me correctly the air date was May 1, 1986 on NJN. I think it was taped around April 20 in Newark. The bits were shown during breaks in the pledge drive. Our sketch featured a Reverend and two guys he was trying to convert. We taped it and the very next day our cable company in NY dropped ... Read MoreNJN because the "must carry rule" was reversed. We saw it on UHF with rabbit ears but couldn't tape it. One of the other cast members is on here so I'll see if he can add anyting.

I'll be walkin' out now. That was my favorite! I
wholeheartedly supported your presidential campaign (perhaps that's why you lost).

The Uncle Floyd Show was based on the Soupy Sales Show, right? I think I remember him appearing on the show from time to time. I hope the cast writes a book about the experiences of working with people like Soupy Sales.
