: ) Accountability partners! (big surprise from me ; ) Troy and I mentor teens... so we are constantly asked if we are successful in this area... and are thankful for it!! : )

We had accountability partners in our youth group. Mostly the kids who started having sex just lied about it until they got caught of finally caved to tell the truth to a friend. The kids who weren't having sex had more physical contact in front of others and so often became the ones who got in trouble for not being self-restrained like the others... See More- even though the furtherest they went was what people saw while the seemingly virtuous ones were going all the way in the dark... Maybe the "trick" is to encourage people to be completely open- don't go overboard in forbidding kissing and cuddling in public so they don't feel they have to hide away for some contact which leads to going futher than they may have intended.

I think it is our sinful flesh that makes us think we should not have to be submissive. However, God's design is perfect and when we are submissive to those we are called to be submissive to, everything works the way God intended.

Guys need to MODEL submission before asking for it.

GOD is love and He created marriage to be FOR LOVE and FOREVER. It crushes Him greatly to see this gift misused and tear two people apart... absolutely crushes Him and causes Him to weep... that's why He shouts in scripture "I hate divorce!"... of course He does!! : ( Now does that mean He doesn't allow it? Nope... Does that mean He hates all ... See Moredivorces or divorced people? Nope, not at all... but it crushes Him to see His precious loved ones and this beautiful union He created dissolve. Um... me too : )

Not only that, but i have been told that He views any marriages after the divorce as adultry!!! Something most people don't know or don't want to think about.

Not true girlfriend - true only for the one who does the divorce - God protects the innocent. Once the adulter (one who divorces) remarries the other is free to do so. I had a horrible time with this when my hubby left me - I was shocked about the divorce and also shocked to think I that I couldn't remarry. I was free from my marraige vows once he remarried...I counselled a lot about this. God is a God of GRACE.
