For a round-up feature in the November/December issue of University Business magazine, we are seeking examples of “Smart Building Ideas.”
Similar in format to our past end-of-year roundups ( see http://www.universitybusiness.com/viewar ticle.aspx?articleid=623 and http://www.universitybusiness.com/viewar ticle.aspx?artic...leid=1179 ), this feature will include examples of how colleges and universities have been able to continue with building plans despite the economy--such as through creative financing, special fundraising strategies, altering project timelines, or building in phases rather than all at once. If you have any tips/examples to share, please email them to Melissa Ezarik, mezarik@universitybusiness.com, by Sept. 30. (We don’t anticipate being able to do additional reporting for this story, so examples should contain all the details we would need for a short write-up, including project dates and costs.)Read More
