The Moores' Family Farm in Watseka has provided your co-op with eggs and produce for years. Diann and Jim also offer CSA shares. Thanks to the income from the shares their son Wes was
able to start working full time on the family farm in 2007. Share sales have been slower
with the tighter economy this year and the CSA ne...eds to sell 150 to help
keep Wes on the farm. At present only 81 have been sold for 2010. Make a real impact on a local farm while getting bushels of amazing local produce next year!

Common Ground Food Co-op Sad news, folks - Country Cottage Farm will no longer be supplying us with eggs or lamb at this time. Deborah and Phil have been struggling to make it work, but its a huge investment of energy to sell locally and it was no longer viable for them. There is a glimmer of hope - they say they *may* try to start back up in the spring, we'll keep you posted.

The December CGFC board meeting was a watershed moment for the board. Lindsay Record, executive director of the Illinois Stewardship Alliance, was on hand to discuss what the organization is about and some of their recent work.
