Industry insiders at local gaming company Volition will offer students tips on breaking into the competitive gaming industry, including how to make a resume and a portfolio that will impress gaming companies. Academic advisers will be on... hand to point out classes that will give students the skills and the experience crucial to gaming careers, and handouts covering job hunting tips and campus career resources will be available for students. Campus advising and career services will provide information on improving job searching skills so that candidates can find that perfect job. Student gaming groups and industry experts will provide ample opportunities for networking with other professionals in a friendly, low-pressure atmosphere.

Librarians are conducting a study on the usability of library tutorials. The goal is to improve our understanding of what students need to know in order to be successful in their research and to provide better
instructional tools for students and researchers to use.
Sessions ...will last 45-60 minutes. The study is open to all students (undergraduate or graduate) at the University of Illinois. Participants must be 18 or older. Sessions will be scheduled for weekdays during the month of February. Participants will receive a $15 gift certificate to the Illini Union Bookstore.
