On November 18th from 11AM-3PM, the Foundation hosted a press/celebrity gifting suite at the W New York – Times Square. This ultra exclusive event allowed participating vendors of VH1 Big Shopping, the opportunity to showcase their items before the online shopping event goes live. Special guests included: Twilight’s Billy Burke, Katharine McPhee, Erin Lucas, High School Musical’s Max Ehrich, Michael McGlone, America’s Next Top Model’s Miss J and Nigel Barker, Latin Music Artist Frankie Negron, and Vanessa Carlton.

The new musical, ROCK OF AGES donated $30,000 to VH1 Save The Music Foundation from a portion of tickets sold last spring. In turn, the Foundation was able to purchase brand new musical instruments for PS/IS 111 in New York City to fully restore their instrumental music education program!
In celebration, ROCK OF AGES j...oined VH1 Save The Music to celebrate the show’s generous support. At the event the cast performed "Don't Stop Believing" with the students, answered questions about what music means to them and announced the show’s brand new holiday ticket promotion, where a portion of tickets sold between November 13th and December 13th benefit the VH1 Save The Music. VH1 Save The Music Foundation
On November 5, 2009, VH1 Save The Music partnered with Esquire Magazine to host a cocktail party fundraiser at its seventh annual signature space - Esquire House SOHO.
The spectacular bash featured an acoustic performance by OneRepublic and benefitted the Foundation's work to restore instrumental music education across... the U.S. The evening's guests included Gavin DeGraw, Carolina Liar among many other VIP's.
