I must share a Thanksgiving story:
I bought version 6.5.3 for
$180, and 40 days later got an email notification that they had just
released version 7. They wanted me to pay $100 to upgrade. I called and
they said sorry no can do, contact sales. So I did, and thought it was
a lost cause, but today, Thanksgiving of all days, ......they emailed me a key to upgrade to 7. I'm VERY pleased, huge thanks to VMware! What they didn't know is I'm working on a project to trial virtualization in a training environment, and that experience could sway into our server room decision. I know who I'm pushing for!

I need to talk to a VmWare professional about possible implimentation ideas, set up, costs, etc.
Essentially, I work for a company that maintains IT support, network services, and patron computer labs for public libraries... I am interested in using VMware for the public computer to rid all of the extra labor it takes t......o lock them down, keep them clean, yet still allow patrons to have some freedoms...
Also, someone who has experience with ACE packages... is there a way to update the software set of a VM with out changing the OS core settings? Ex. Can i upgrade java, flash, shockwave, windows updates, adobe reader, silverlight, etc via ACE packages with out over writting the computer name of the VM, domain settings, etc.
I am super excited to learn more and am available to talk Via Skype, Cell, Email, facebook etc. Please send me a message if you are available to offer some insight!
