"uneducated mothers propelled by fear"-what a true statement. The gov't is not out to get us and promote an unsafe product. The sad thing is that there is partial information, half truth and a spin on the science just enough to scare people. Read the CDC information if you want the truth-not bogus web page propoganda from people trying to further thier own moral agenda. Thanks again Amy-for bringing logic and fact-not fear and hysteria.

How weird for me! I recently posted a wired article in favor of vaccinating and became part of horrible back and forth with fb friends and friends of friends who I didn't even know were anti-vaccination. (my first online argument btw) I have felt so alone recently, but now this WONDERFUL post. Couldn't have come a moment to soon! Please keep those comments coming! Makes me feel like there are still rational people on facebook.

Parents want good, reliable, honest info. They're starting to realize that they've been used and manipulated by this tiny but noisy fringe of anti-vaccine lunatics.

As a pediatrician, I am sad to say germs I thought were long gone from when i started in the late 80's are making their way back again thanks to the anti-vaxer's...Hello again, HIB meningitis and whooping cough (aka "The 100 Day Cough" in China)...our practice has an all or not in our group policy...we want to protect our patients individually and from those waiting in the waiting rooms with them...
