Lillian Leonhardt Duggan I was blessed to hear Vance Havner twice many years ago when he led revivals in my church in Virginia Beach, VA. He was a friend of our Pastor at the time and both shared a fellowship as Brothers in the Lord. Dr. Havner was an inspiration and truly a man called by God.

Freddie As before stated, Dr. Havner and Ms. Sarah were dear friends. I welcome the opportunity of sharing personal times with VH. It was at the Southern Baptist Convention, meeting in Calf. For a man who never learned to drive was a long way to travel by air. He spoke that year at the Pastor's Conference. After he spoke ...I went up and we chatted and I stepped back to give others the opportunity to visit. I returned to my seat and in a few moments here comes VH to take the seat beside me. After the session, we decided to walk together back to the hotel and have dinner together. But walking through the crowd everyone was speaking to him. When we got out on the street by ourselves, strolling down the sidewalk, I said, "Well, it as a good thing those folks knew me or no one who have recognized you." He loved that and referred to it several times later. A great mentor and friend.

Freddie I was blessed by being a friend to Dr. Vance Havner. He preached in revival when I was pastor of First Baptist Church, Naples, Fl. and Central Baptist Church, Sanford, Fl. One of the pleasant experiences was he and I going to Disney World together; spent the day together seeing everything that was free. He was of the... old school in monetary matters. We had some great times together. Can't wait to see he and Ms. Sarah in God's House.
