A few shots from an Artisan Cafe featuring 8 pieces by Gustavo (Gus) Yamin.
In this show Gus combines his fine art aesthetic, digital effects skills, and fractals (simple mathematical formulas that generate infinite progressions) to produce 8 stunning original pieces that explore the use of light to represent symbols of Advent.

After the 3rd Service Christmas concert, we will be having a 3rd Service Christmas party!
There will be festive food and activities including:
* live light jazz by Monica Siu & friends
* Group Christmas carol singing
* A gingerbread house making competition
* A chance to send encouraging candy grams
* An opportunity to mak...e hampers for families via Aboriginal Child & Family Services. If you have any nonperishable food, clothing or grocery store gift card that you would like to put towards a hamper, please bring these on Sunday.

This Sunday immediately following the 3rd Service there will be an art opening in the Upper East Hall.
The exhibition will feature 8 pieces by Gustavo (Gus) Yamin, a Brazilian artist and graphic designer (also part of the Tenth community) who has been in Vancouver for 3 years working with digital visual effects for th...e film industry.

Tenth Church 3rd Service Someone connected to the 3rd Service is in need of some linens. Specifically they could use a fitted sheet for a double size mattress and 2 pillow cases. Contact Lee at lee@tenth.ca if you can help.

Tenth Church 3rd Service On Nov. 1 we removed some pews from the front of the sanctuary. Jeremy King and Mark Watt led an acoustic worship set from the floor. The focus was on the cross and Ken preached a sobering sermon about idolatry. The intimacy of the decor and the powerful message made for another very moving night at the 3rd Service.

Tenth Church 3rd Service Baked goods, homemade jams, and holiday snacks will be sold in the Upper East Hall after all 3 services at Mt. Pleasant this Sunday. Proceeds support Alicia Coleman as she leaves in January to serve in South Africa with the missions/discipleship organization Thrive Africa.
