A portion of my time on the NPA board was shared with Kilby, who inevitably brought her rigorous yet compassionate perspective to the work at hand. Often, it was her effortless ability to "cut to the chase" on an issue, that endeared me to her as a board colleague. I am sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts are with Gordon and her family.
