Over the years, the vegan camp has been hugely successful. This is an event for loads of people to get together and enjoy lots of fun and vegan food. You don't have to be vegan to attend as long as you are willing to be vegan whilst at camp.
In 2009, the camp is in Cornwall. It lasts for two weeks but you don't have to stay that long - some people stay the whole time, others for a few days or a week.
It is a great chance to meet lots of cool people, enjoy vegan food without having to check out what is in it all of the time, and have lots of fun.

VegNE We met yesterday morning at Jack Sprats. As well as enjoying delicious food, we discussed our upcoming events like the Christmas party for families, the Christmas meal out at the Sky Apple Cafe, the bowling night and the campaigning weekend. We also discussed some people from the group running in the Great North Run next year, entered by the vegan society. Thanks to the brave souls interested. Finally, some other interesting ideas for upcoming events were discussed. Watch this space!

VegNE Sunday November 2nd - a group of us enjoyed a lovely vegan sunday lunch at Jack Sprats. An enjoyable and fun event to celebrate world vegan day. Some members enjoyed the traditional - vegan toad in the hole or country pie with vegetables, roast potatoes and all of the trimmings including gravy. Delicious. Others went for the substantial and still delicious falafel or the huge vegan breakfasts. The vegan cheesecake or walnut cake afterwards was also very nice!

On Sunday 19th October we had the AGM at Jack Sprats. Lovely choice of venue - great food, whether you want just a drink and sweet fix, or a full meal. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Anyway, great turnout. We discussed various events over the year, a very busy time with many social events and participation at public events. We have discussed many more ideas to keep this up over the coming year!
We have decided on roles this year - Mark is going to be our group organiser again. John is also repeating his stint as treasurer. Laura is going to be our secretary. Trudy will organise social events and Vicki will organise events and campaigning.
We discussed various ideas for campaigning and some group members are keen to get involved. There was general agreement that it must be above board and non aggressive. Lots of events ideas were discussed too.
