Ted Czarnecki Like you, I support government action to keep the Asian carp from infiltrating the Great Lakes and potentially harming Michigan's recreational fishing industry. Why can't you support a greater role for government in expanding health care coverage and more strictly regulating the financial industry? Citizens need protection from the sharks there as well.

Dear Friend, The Great Lakes are facing perhaps the biggest threat to their ecological health from the Asian carp. The invasive species of ...

Ted Czarnecki I appreciate your support of Science and education. I wish you would reconsider your position against real health care reform. It is time to do something.

Randal Craig Dykwell Thank you Congressman Ehlers. Is there an easier way to get copies of the pocket size U.S. Constitution you offered for free months ago in your Grand Rapids office? I find a demand for them in our congregation, but, security being so tight, I had to return a second day when I did get seven copies. Are they still availa...ble? They are convenient to carry in the pocket and referr to when open air preaching. Thank you and God bless, Randal Dykwell

Susan Please do not allow the goverment to get a hold of health care. Let the private sector handle the problems. We live in a free enterprise capitalistic country where freedom is excercised; we do not need goverment involvment. Goverment doesn't solve problems, they create the problems we face. We do not need more goverment intruding our lives.

Rebecca Druzgal Please vote no on the proposed reform. We need health care reform but we do not need more insurance. If we curb wastefullness of medical resources (Tort Reform would go a long way toward doing this) and find ways of allowing medical providers and patients to use health care resources responsibly, we will be able to mak...e quality efficient healthcare available to everyone.

Kathleen Please vote for health care reform.

Thank
you for re-introducing the Strengthening Kids’ Interest in Learning and
Libraries Act, or the SKILLs Act (H.R. 3928) - "intended to ensure that
all students will have thesupport and resources they need for a quality education by establishinga goal that all public school libraries employ no less than one highlyqua......lified
school library media specialist." As a newly hired teacher librarian, I
appreciate your efforts in support of school libraries and teacher
librarians across the nation. Here's a letter to the editor I wrote
that was published in the Fresno Bee today: http://www.fresnobee.com/277/story/17039 70.html Please keep us posted on this important act.

As a newly hired teacher librarian, I would like to thank The Bee for calling attention to our constantly evolving profession by highlighting the outstanding improvements with the Henry Madden Library [story Nov. 1].

Christina Fong In the past you voted for much legislation that resulted in tax increases, like the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Why are you unwilling to have tax increases go towards something positive like health care and in favor of tax increases when it goes towar something negative like war? The only logical explanation to me is ...that you and many moderate Republicans now feel beholden to the most radical voices in the Republican party. Do you really want to be the party of Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh?

William Harder Vern Ehlers, Thank you so much for your vote last night. I stayed up last night to watch the vote and I want to let you know you made the right choice. You are one of the politicians that will help to bring around 1994 all over again. You have my vote as long as you run for any office.

Pat As a constituent, I'm very disappointed in your votes for the Stupak amendment and against health care reform.

Sue Hughes So Vern, After all these years that you have been in the US House, you are just now coming to the realization that the US Heathcare system is broken? And you think the only fix is the republican version? If you do not support this heathcare reform bill now you will be voted out of office. Do the math on your own facebook pages...what do u think???

Bonnie Westbrook I encourage you to vote for health care reform. What we have now is not working for over 45% of our population. The system we have now is the cause of foreclosures and bankruptcy for many who are insured.
