Rick Mann nostalgia, a great memory of growing up in Michigan!

Bert Jacokes III Whenever I or my Brothers were sick, my parents always gave us Warm Vernors. Since I live to tell the tale, it seemed to do the trick. Cold Vernors was strictly for fun! In an era when Pop was a luxury, not an every day drink.

Since you're all fans of Vernors-- you can appreciate that I practically hugged the UPS guy when he
delivered a 24-pack of it to my door this afternoon in the great state
of Texas-- land of Dr. Pepper!!

Gail I'm curious what/who the guy on the label is: a leprechaun? Someone from Switzerland?

Denise Carlton Giroux When we have friends over, we always give them Vernor's.... they are blown away! Too bad you guys don't have the Ohio market.......

Kelsey Lamkin i grew up in michigan and i'm going to school in texas...and nobody down here has even heard of vernors!

Pat Mac Kercher We have Vernors all over Phoenix, now Faygo that's in short supply.

Dottie Swan Applegate I grew up in Texas. My father grew up in Michigan. When I was in high school he took me and my siblings to Temperence to see his family. They knew we had never had Vernor's and they all stared at us as we took our first drink. We started choking because of the strong taste and carbonation! They laughed so hard! I... now live in OK. we can get Vernor's at POPS in Arcadia, OK.

Jim Colby Some of my fondest memories from childhood involve stopping with my dad at the Vernors bottling plant on Woodward Avenue. We were usually on the way to Tiger Stadium for a ball game when we parked in front of the plant and went into the front lobby where you could buy various concoctions containing that wonderful ging...er soda. My favorite was the Chocolate Creme Ale, made with Vernors, Half & Half and chocolate syrup. You can still make this at home, although I'm not sure of the proportions. I suggest you mix the cream and syrup together first, then add the Vernors slowly because the foam will come. Now the stadium is all but gone, and the bottling plant has been gone for years, but when they talk about the good ole days, there certainly were some that will NEVER return!
