On Saturday December 5, join the Tibetan Monks from the Gaden Jangste Monastery in India in a deconsecration ceremony of the Sand Mandala.
Over several weeks this fall, the monks created a large mandala made of tiny grains of sand.
The Monks will chant while the sand mandala is brushed into a vase following a pattern. ...This dismantling ceremony concludes by depositing the sand into the Pacific Ocean at Cattle Point. The public is welcome to join the monks for a brief ceremony.
Admission to the Gallery is by donation on Dec.5th.
Seating is limited. Come early!
Overflow parking on Dec. 5th is available at the Truth Centre and Central Middle School.
