Nick Baker For Victoria City Council About Mr. Baker
Nick Baker was born and raised in Victoria, and came home after a brief stint back east working as a computer programmer. Returning to further his education after the DotCom crash, Nick majored in Sociology at UVic before opening his business in Downtown Victoria.

As a resident and business owner Downtow...n, Nick has seen first hand the effects of the current council's approach to homelessness, drug use, and crime has caused. Watching his neighbourhood deteriorate, Nick threw his hat in for council reluctantly in hopes of bringing a new outlook on the problems plaguing our city's core. As a business owner, his goal is to bring a level of fiscal responsibility and accountability to municipal governance, as well as an open and transparent process to increase community participation.

As a socially conscious resident, Nick wants to work towards a treatment model for addictions and mental illness with long term support, and immediate action to get people off the street.
