Just figured out that you were talking about the real mail and the village proposals it would bring. So deleted my last comment.

The more I read about social enterprise, the more confused I get. A few months ago, I looked closely at whether I should move to making www.yours2share.com a social enterprise and in the end came to the conclusion that it made life more complex and I couldn't see any benefit, so I didn't take it any further.

Sophie, I suspect that the confusion lies in that various groups have taken on social enterprise to represent their own approach, be that cooperative, nonprofit, voluntary or business for social purpose. That Wikipedia article reflects opinions from all of these including mine.

Last year after Bill Gates declared himself one of us, we asked the question - isn't there a social dimension to any form of enterprise?

Bunting always gets people in a festival mood. What do you think would attract the youth of your community Jeff?

They show up on the day, so there's no problem attraxting them to the event. We have to find a way to communicate the need for some help.

Well so far, through our existing and fairly active voluntary groups which generate funds from carnival, boot sale and village hall concerts. Others through the social context of the local and for the purpose of exploring ideas, here on Facebook, where we can share liinks to illustrations of these various items. ! became aware of Village SOS just about 3 weeks ago. Our local newspaper wants me to give them an article about the broadband part at least , but I don't want to say too much too soon.
