There are a series of procedural votes
necessary to get us to our eventual vote to extend and expand the home
buyer tax credit. We
are happy to report that we are two steps closer to victory! A
lopsided 85-2 vote in the Senate last night was followed by anot...her
lopsided 97-1 vote today. The final vote in the Senate is expected
sometime after 6 PM EST tomorrow, Thursday, November 5. The hope is
that it goes immediately to
the House and then to the President for his signature.
We
will continue to keep you apprised but again, the swift movement and
lopsided votes here are a testimony to the great activism of this
group. You all have been tremendous, showing a level of activity that
other coalitions can only envy.
