We saw him play the Beethoven violin concerto in Tallahassee, and he was wonderful. Awesome Strad too with a GORGEOUS sound. I did get to peer at it at rehearsal before he tucked it away in his case. He was very gracious in taking time to talk to the kids too.

I think the point is that the 10,000 hours are necessary but not sufficient for mastery. Not everyone who puts in 10,000 hours becomes a master, but everyone who is a master has put in the hours.
