Amanda, I can send you another one if you know it is the DVD and not your computer. It is a data DVD and won't play in a regular DVD player.

Nico, if it still hasn't arrived, let me know and I'll mail another one.

Virginia Governor's School for Humanities and Visual & Performing Arts To those who are wondering where your evals are: Check with your Career Center. Often times whoever is handling the mail sees a college name (in this case CNU) and assumes that is where the information is headed. That is what happened at Chantilly. If it can happen at a school like Chantilly which employs two Gov School faculty/staff, that can happen anywhere.

Virginia Governor's School for Humanities and Visual & Performing Arts Your Gov School evals should be considered part of your student file and should go with your transcript. They actually represent summer school grades. Since the evals were sent to the guidance department rather than individual guidance counselors, you might have to ask your counselor to ask where they are. Once they... are in your counselor's hands, it is only a matter of xeroxing and including.

Virginia Governor's School for Humanities and Visual & Performing Arts To have your evals sent with your transcript, all I can suggest is ask your guidance department to include them. It may help to make mention/remind them that this is an official VA Dept. of Education program and is sponsored (in part) by the local school division. You didn't pay to go, unlike a CTY or other gifted su...mmer program, which they may have a policy not to include on an official transcript.

Also, Lori is the one who mentioned this as a possibility and so it must happen at her high school (Chantilly.) Perhaps I can get her to share some wisdom on the subject.

Katie Beth My school, Falls Church High School, has not yet recieved the evaluations. Are there any steps that I take to follow through and ensure that my school recieves the evaluations and sends them with my transcript? I am the only student from my school to have attended Governor's School this year.

Virginia Governor's School for Humanities and Visual & Performing Arts Evaluations are not sent to individual guidance counselors, but generically addressed to the guidance department at the high school. If several students from the school attended the program at CNU, the evaluations would have all been sent together.

An individual guidance counselor should check with their departments administrative assistant or director to see if the envelope arrived. Sometimes it is there but nobody has processed it thinking it is promotional material for next summer or something.

If after investigating the evaluations cannot be located, the guidance director can send the office an email (govschool@cnu.edu) and the evals will be resent.
