VOCES DE LAS MUJERES" - A collection of 70 video interviews of women
from the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Mexico and Spain. The women are
of different ages, professions and economic backgrounds. The same questions are posed to all the women, so the structure of the
70 interviews follows a basic format.
The
interview...s were edited into multiple segments, so be sure to wait a few
seconds at the end of each segment for the next part to automatically
load and start playing. There won't be any visible signage or
indications that there are multiple parts to a single interview.
The
web site has a ton of great audio material for Spanish teachers looking
for diverse accents. There are also accompanying worksheets on the
web site designed to initiate class discussions.
Tess Lane, an assistant professor of Spanish at Hawai’i Pacific University, is the lead coordinator of the project.
