Global warming and the credit crisis call for a reconsideration of the way housing is produced in the Netherlands. The curators of the Collective exhibition propose to introduce a standard for the sizes of building lots and urban blocks, so projects can be built on multiple sites. In th...is discussion, organized by Volume magazine, the viability and the pros and cons of this proposal in relation to the Dutch (urban) design practice will be considered.
